Accommodation includes 2 nights in hotels and 2 nights camping.
  • Which meals are included in the tour price?

The tour includes 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 2 dinners.
  • What is the required physical rating for this trek?

This tour has a physical rating of 4 (Active). Travellers must be able to walk without assistance, climb 3-4 flights of stairs, step on and off small boats, and carry their own luggage at a minimum. The trek travels to high altitude, defined as anything over 2,440 meters (8,000 feet).
  • What is the typical group size for this tour?

The maximum group size is 16 travellers, with an average of 6.
  • What are the Machu Picchu regulations I should be aware of?

Current passport details are required at the time of confirmation. Visitors to Machu Picchu are required to follow different circuits within the site to manage crowding. These circuit-based entrance tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. While efforts are made to keep groups together, it is possible members may visit on different circuits. Regardless of the circuit, you will enjoy the beauty and grandeur of the site.
  • Are there any health considerations or medical forms required?

Inoculations may be required, and it's your responsibility to consult a travel doctor before departure. We recommend carrying a First Aid kit. Travellers with a pre-existing medical condition must complete a medical questionnaire, signed by their physician, to ensure they have the necessary fitness and mobility. This adventure travels to high altitude (over 2,440 meters or 8,000 feet), and individuals react differently to altitude.
  • Is travel insurance compulsory for this trip?

Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. You will not be permitted to join the group until evidence of medical coverage, including a minimum of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue, has been sighted by your CEO.
  • What is the minimum and maximum age to join this trip?

You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12. The maximum age is 100.
  • What is the policy for solo travellers regarding accommodation?

Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip, with no single supplement. If you book the 'My Own Room' option, you will receive your own single room for all hotel nights, but nights 2-3 are camping.
  • What currency is used, and what should I know about money exchange and credit cards?

The currency in Peru is the Nuevo Sol (PEN). Credit and debit cards (especially Visa) are useful for cash advances, though ATM availability or card function is not guaranteed throughout Latin America. A 5-10% fee usually applies to credit card purchases. It's best to have a combination of US dollar cash and cards. Traveler's cheques are not recommended. Bring notes in good condition and denominations lower than 100 USD. An emergency fund of at least USD $200 (or equivalent) is recommended.
  • What are the rules of conduct during the trip?

Illegal drugs are not tolerated. The exploitation of prostitutes is contrary to our travel philosophy. CEOs have the right to expel any member of the group for possessing drugs or using prostitutes.
  • What optional activities are available in Cusco?

Optional activities in Cusco include visiting the Inka Museum (10PEN per person), purchasing a Cusco Tourist Ticket (130PEN per person), and taking a Cusco City Tour (45PEN per person).
  • Are there laundry facilities available?

Laundry facilities are offered by some hotels for a charge. We suggest bringing non-polluting/biodegradable soap for personal laundry.
  • What measures are in place for safety and security?

We recommend checking your government's travel advice. Use a neck wallet or money belt for valuables and leave expensive jewellery at home. Many hotels have safety deposit boxes. A lock is recommended for luggage. The CEO can amend the itinerary for safety concerns. During free time, use your own judgment for optional activities. In cities, it's recommended to stay in small groups and use taxis at night.
  • What modes of transportation are used during the tour?

Transportation includes private vans, hiking, and trains.
  • What is included in the tour package?

The tour includes a G for Good Moment (Handmade Biodegradable Soap Products), a 3-day trek on the Salkantay route with a local guide, cooks, and porters, a guided tour of Machu Picchu, and all transport between destinations and to/from included activities.
